The Conference on Land Use and Water Quality – LUWQ2017 – was held for the 3rd time in den Haag, The Netherlands from 29th May to 1st June 2017 with Bioscience as co-organizers.

This time the conference attracted 133 oral contributions and 54 posters covering a wide spectra of applied science and monitoring regarding the water quality challenges for the coming generations in surface water and groundwater.

The Conference hosted a special session on Buffer Strips lead by the BufferTech project ( showing the newest scientific achievements for the multi-functionality of buffers.
