Biological structure

The Lake Ecology Section has multiple years’ experience with research into the interactions between various groups of organisms (biological structure – fish, plants, zooplankton and phytoplankton, etc.) in lakes. We study how biological structure is impacted by factors such as nutrients, changes in the composition of the fish stock, temperature and other climate impacts.

The research-based knowledge is used in connection with interpretation of monitoring data and lake restoration (e.g. CLEAR – a Villum Kann Centre of Excellence project).
