AU-DCE accreditation registration no. 411

We are accredited in accordance with ISO 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories).
Read more about accreditation here.

What can be done accredited?

Analyses for:

  • metals
  • nutrient salts
  • organotin
  • support parameters

In addition:

  • sampling
  • profile measurements with CTD

We are, in the institute, involved in several accreditated analyses and all documents in the accreditation system are collected in a document management system.

Our methods are regularly verified by participating in QUASIMEME (twice a year) and when visited by DANAK (approximately every 15 months)

Instruments, equipment and methods

At the Department we have various instruments, equipment and methods:

  • ICP-MS
  • nuclear absorption instruments
  • nuclear fluorescence equipment for natural-level metal analysis
  • GC-PFPD for measuring organotin in marine samples; animals, plants, sediment and seawater
  • segmented flow autoanalysis for measuring nutrient salts in seawater
  • support parameters:
    - TOC (with CHN analyzer)
    - incandescent and dry matter (DS 204mod) in sediment
    - length-weight relationships for mussels and fish
