My research interests focus on ecotoxicology and thermal biology of soil invertebrates (springtails and enchytraeids). In particular, I am interested in the combined effects of natural stressors with Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (e.g. phenanthrene) on soil invertebrates (Folsomia candida and Enchytraeus albidus).

My PhD project is Interaction between effects of natural stressors and phenanthrene on soil invertebrates and their detoxification mechanisms. In this project, I start to investigate the interaction effects between natural stressors (temperature and drought) and phenanthrene on soil invertebrates (F. candida and E. albidus) using TK-TD and DEBtox framework. And then I investigate the detoxification mechanisms and antioxidant enzymes activities of soil invertebrates exposed to combined natural stressors with phenanthrene. In the last stage, I will investigate the gene expression of soil invertebrates exposure to combined natural stressors with phenanthrene.
